BSA - National Statement - Coronavirus
Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist
As is our practice in Scouting, our efforts are focused on preparation and responsiveness guided by official health organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov/
As a scout is clean, continue to educate your scouts and families by promoting the following:
- Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow.
- Clean frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Stay home when sick.
- If you have a fever, cough, or other symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, you should isolate and not attend any Scouting events. People who think they may have been exposed to COVID-19 should contact their healthcare provider immediately.
We thank you all for being patient and for Scouting at Home.
We hope that the suggestions we posted on our website and shared with you were found to be helpful.
Please refer to the information that has been shared regarding the safety aspects that are in place for each program.
If you continue to Scout from home, you can still earn the Scouting at Home patches while supply lasts.
The requirements for both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members can be found here.
Please remember to practice social distancing and hand washing. Scouting is still strong in Interior and North Slope Alaska. Work on your advancements at home, go outside and have fun, and check our Facebook page and website for updates. We will continue to share information and updates.
Thank you again for all you do for Scouting and our youth.
