Alumni Weekend
Come and relive your camping experience at Lost lake camp
as part of the council's 50th anniversary celebration! Enjoy
the waterfront, shooting sports, Project COPE, and the other
activities that camp has to offer. Earn awards like Coffee
Drinking, Mosquito Hunting, or the Pyro Merit badge. See how
camp has changed! Anyone who is at least 18 years old, attended
Lost Lake camp as a camper or staff member, or earned the
rank of Eagle/Ranger Award are encouraged to attend. Join
us August 27-28, 2010.

Centennial Camporee and Family Camp
Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of putting
the “outing” in Scouting at the Cold Regions Test
Track at Ft. Greely! This four day event will have activities
for all ages! Basic camping and outdoor activities for
families, Merit Badge Midway and adventurous activities for
Boy Scouts, challenging teamwork and initiative events for
Ventures/Explorers. There will also be campfires, an
arena show and Sunday Services.

This is for Scouts of all ages! Use a GPS
to find
Scout Geo‐Cashes located around the
Fairbanks area. Completion of the cashes and the enclosed
activities will
be rewarded with a limited edition patch

Event 2 - Centennial Lock-In
Centennial Lock-In On February 8th, 1910
the Congress of the United States chartered the Boy Scouts
of America making official an organization that has grown
to be the most successful youth organization in American history
and the American arm of a movement spanning the globe. This
February Toontuk Lodge our local Lodge of the Order of the
Arrow and the Midnight Sun Council invites ALL Boy Scout age
boys (11-17) to join them to get LOCKED-IN
for the 100th Birthday of the Boy Scouts of America. Held
on February 12th, 2010 starting at 10:00 PM and running tell
6:00 AM at the Alaska Club on the Old Richardson Highway.
There will be a lot of different activates for those that
come including swimming, climbing, video games and of course
FOOD!! The cost for the Lock-In will be $20 for youth and
$10 dollars to any adult who wants to volunteer for the evening.
Leaders who would like to sign up to volunteer for the event
please contact Sven at the Earl and Pat Cook Council Service
Center, the Order of the Arrow is looking for adults to help
with this event. Scoutmasters should see this as an opportunity
for their scouts to bring friends and introduce them to the
fun and excitement of Scouting!!
